September’s Paper Pumpkin kit is full of 3D projects: a wheelbarrow and 12 treat holders. But, I don’t need 12 treat holders, so the treat holders and wheelbarrow will probably just be fall table decorations. I really like the stamp set that’s included and have some cards with the fall time haunts & harvest ideas for you!

Simple Stamping Fall Cards
Here are a couple of ideas for making some simply stamped cards. The first two ideas need no layers, only some basic white cardstock or pre-made cards and envelopes. Gather your favorite fall color ink pads and begin!
Did anyone else see that the leaves could also become trees? But whether you think these are trees or leaves, it doesn’t matter. I still like the way this card was so easy to make. Don’t forget to stamp your envelope, for that added extra touch!

How about using the piece that the leaf punch outs came on as a guide for stamping the leaf patterns for this next card idea? I laid the piece that I punched the leaves from, on top of the white card base, then used it as a guide for stamping the leaves. Use your favorite ink colors to stamp the leaves. As a result, this made an easy way to line up the leaves.

Step It Up Fall Leaves
Many of you are familiar with the baby wipe technique. Here’s a take on that! I couldn’t find my baby wipes, so I wet a folded paper towel and laid it on top of my silicone craft sheet, then added drops from the ink refills to my liking. Stamp the leaves randomly on white cardstock, then adhere it to the card base that was embossed with the stitched leaves die. Uncurl one of the wired paper cords from the kit, and remove the wire. It looks like I cut about a 4″ length of untwisted paper, then re-twisted it in the middle and tied some linen thread and a tag. Doesn’t it look like dried corn husks? I love the textures on this card. I hope you try it!

Fall Time Haunts & Harvest Card Ideas
The next two cards I stamped the backgrounds with one of the stamp shapes. I honestly don’t know if it is supposed to represent bark, or what, but have fun with it. I also cut the hexagon portion off of some of the treat holders and used them in a different way. Get creative!
Make apples. To make the stems, I cut what was left over from the untwisted paper of the leaf card, then retwisted the paper and cut approximately 1-1/4″ lengths and inserted them into holes I punched. You can’t really see it in the picture, but I have a couple of dimensionals behind the apples to give them a little shape.

The last card I’m sharing are pumpkins and a jack o’ lantern. If I were to make this background again, I would stamp off the ink once before stamping onto the card, to lighten the ink color a bit. But the pattern was very easy to make. I left the wire in the paper cord, for the pumpkin stems, so I could give them a little curl.

These fall time haunts and harvest ideas hardly used any pieces from my paper pumpkin kit. I’ll be making more fall cards. I still have to make my 3D table decorations of apples, pumpkins and jack o’ lanterns, then cut and assemble my wheelbarrow. It’s amazing how much is in one kit, if you let your imagination go!
