I was inspired by my Paper Pumpkin kit to do more with Fall Toile. Find out why, find out how, and find out what I created.
Beautiful Card Bases
I really liked the card bases included in the kit this time. My mom made three of the cards in the kit. I chose to make the most of six remaining cards bases by cutting them in half. Not only did I create six cards (I mean card fronts) as directed by the kit instructions, but I created six more with Fall Toile. I thought theses pieces would be perfect for a “stack and cut” technique. So, I created two stacks.

Now, I admit, my intent was to create all six cards to look like the ones in the photo on the right. However, when I stacked my first set of three pieces I paid no attention to the tree pattern orientation (upside down). As a result, my first stack & cut “batch” are featured on the left. It all worked out well though. When I arranged the trees rightside up, the pieces all still fit, and crisis averted! I made certain when I stacked the second set of card bases to look that the trees were the right way. I’m pleased with how all of them turned out. Instead of three different card fronts, I have three more with Fall Toile for a total of six! With the pieces shuffled, I glued them to Basic White card bases..
To create the extra labels, I used the circle die from the add-on die set for July-August-September, and a small circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies. I added (retired) ribbon I had because I liked the look. I feel good to not always have to buy more ribbon and use up a roll I already own. Believe me, I own too much ribbon already! The Neutral Matte Dots give a finished touch.
More Fall Toile Stamping
I found myself still inspired and used the stamps from the kit and the coordinating dies for other Fall cards.
I’ve been having fun with the Fall online exclusive DSP, Need For Tweed and the leaves from the Harvest Home Garland kit to make cards as well. I stamped “Thankful Warm Wishes” directly onto one of the leaves with Black Memento ink. Stamp the pumpkins onto a scrap of Everyday Skies DSP, then fussy cut them. Add some tiny leaves, matte dots, and twine to make it all come together. Check out another idea for the leaves HERE.

This next card I embellished with Flower Accents and the Gold 1-1/2″ Open Weave Trim. Too bad the add-on dies are retired. I hope you were able to get some before that.

And just in case you need a little Halloween card inspiration, the pumpkins from the Fall Toile kit were just enough to give me what I needed to use with the Sweet Halloween stamp set. I couldn’t resist getting out my 2025-2027 In Color DSP, Timid Tiger ribbon, and my google eyes! The Labeled with Love punch is still available too! I stamped the fun crow directly onto the DSP. The other two pumpkins on the card come from the Choose Happy stamp set and the More Than Autumn bundle.

Who knows where the inspiration will lead to next, but I found ways to create more with Fall Toile Paper Pumpkin kit.
