First Eyecatching Suite I Saw

To be clear, the first suite introduced to me from the Fall mini catalog was in May. Demonstrators signed up for an online workshop to create projects and download PDFs. I don’t always participate, but couldn’t resist this one! It’s called the Peaceful Garden Suite. Many of you have seen all kinds of projects using the suite since then, to be sure!

I made this card using a design template from page 14 inside the catalog. Can you pick out which one I copied? I originally put the coordinating ribbon on the card, but decided to remove it because it was overpowering. Sometimes less is more, especially here.

Here’s another card in which I used only the stamp set, Peace On Earth. I highly recommend you to consider the stamps, so versatile, and not just for Christmas. I just added the words to a card where I stamped the tree from Peaceful View onto Everyday Skies DSP, then embellished with Secret Sea flat pearls. Because this was also the color ink I used. I’m also trying to use what string I have, which is retired.

More Eye-catching Dies to See

Let’s switch the season to Winter. Who can resist these snowflake dies? Not me! While I didn’t get the stamp set from the bundle, I have yet to make some cards with the masks that coordinate with the dies. I had the unfinished card on the left sitting and waiting for some good Snowflake dies, and hoping the Fall catalog would have something to add. And it did! Yay! I embellished both cards with the online exclusive Faceted Snowlfakes. The largest faceted snowflake fits into the die cut hole in the snowflake on the right. You’ve seen the DSP before – Celebratory Sips and Nests of Winter.

Another die set caught my eye, Patterned Tags. These are a “stand alone” product, so the sky’s the limit when it comes to using other products with them. I chose to use the Nests of Winter DSP, again. Since a spent some summer days with my brother during his chemo treatments, I had plenty of time to kill. And I found myself fussy cutting a lot of my DSP images for future projects. (This kept me from purchasing too many mix ‘n match pieces). I know mixed feelings about fussy cutting exist, but I find it relaxing, especially on those days!

I actually created more than this one tag already, but gave some away as a “thank you”s to customers.

Fall Catalog Stamp Sets that Caught My Eye

The last two cards I made with two different stamp sets that caught my eye from the Fall catalog. This first card was created using Love & Courage. I saw a card template on Pinterest that used Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, and Early Espresso together and found it very striking. So, I copied it with my own twist. I fussy cut the floral image.

The next stamp set is reversible. I’ve posted before about different reversible sets. I really like them! I fussy cut all the knit Stay Warm pieces. It was so simple! I used the DSP for the background, an online exclusive, called Need For Tweed and picked my ink colors accordingly. As I made this card, I was thinking of my two teenage grandsons, but I feel I could give this to just about anyone. The sentiment also comes from another online exclusive set called Snowflake Kisses. So mix and match what you like! I also embellished the front with the Faceted Snowflakes.
