Love Every Moment Greeting
One of the our stamp club cards we created in April can be given as a celebratory card for a birthday, retirement, graduation, or anniversary occasion. It’s a “twist” on the twisted easel card design. I saw the idea on Pinterest, from another crafter. The difference is that the rotating portion is smaller and happens when you rotate the card front greeting.
The moving front piece measures 4-1/14″ 4-1/4″, only adhered on the lower right triangle area.
See how the upper left corner is allowed to be free to grab and turn when the card opens? The card opens to full length and lies flat, instead of supporting the front by using a small popped up image inside. A Twelve Tuesdays Tip: Don’t use thick cardstock for this layout because it definitely won’t lay flat, once the card front is creased. I wonder how it would work, if I made the card base from DSP? I need to experiment more!
We stamped the cake parts using the Cake Fancy stamp set. It’s available in the Last Chance section yet. Learn more about Last Chance HERE! By doing the second generation stamp technique for the cake layers and blueberries, this allows the giver to write a message on the inside of the greeting.
Love Everyday With Joy
If you look, so much joy can be found. We made another card by simply stamping directly onto the paper. We used only the Everyday You & Me stamp set. The colors for this card are Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Coastal Cabana, and Lemon Lime Twist. The flower centers and sentiment are stamped using the Memento black ink. A piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock helps the focal point stand out. I love the simplicity of this card!
More Everyday Occasions
This is what happens when when you use some ribbons laying around your craft area. If you’re like me, you have a difficult time telling the difference between the Coastal Cabana color and Summer Splash color. This “joy” card mixes the Coastal Cabana ink and the Summer Splash ribbon. The “happy hello” card combines retired Lost Lagoon and Wild Wheat ribbons. I cut the Wild Wheat ribbon in half lengthwise to give it a more shabby chic look. And the little “hello” actually comes from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set.
Here are a few more Everyday You & Me cards. I’m so glad the Marbled Elegance Specialty Paper is sticking around yet! One of the cards uses the Modern Oval Punch, and another card uses the dies from the Meant to Bee bundle. It was also my first time using the Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder. And, look how pretty the Iridescent Stripe Trim works with this paper!
