Hello All! I’m finally getting a chance to share a few alternate ideas of how I used my Paper Pumpkin Delicate Wings Kit (from April). This time the focus is all about the dies. I hope you enjoy them!
Delicate Wings Add-on Dies
As you might guess, I’m a big fan of the add-on dies option for Paper Pumpkin kits already. Just read some of my past posts. I love the fact that these dies extend the use of stamp sets and ink spots long after the other pieces of the kit are spent. With this new quarter of the year, Thanks & Beyond Dies are available while supplies last. You can find them in the Paper Pumpkin Refills, Past Kits & More section in my online store.
Many times, I share how I use the stamps and ink color first. But today, I’m sharing the first thank you card I created with the dies, since I received them before my April kit arrived. To use these dies requires a cut & emboss machine. Currently, Stampin’ Up! sells three types.
Here I combined all the die cutouts on a Kraft note card (with envelope, now retired) and added an Iridescent Rhinestone (also retired) to accent the sentiment. My apologies for a poor picture. (I assure you that the detailed butterfly is not as off-centered as it appears).
Winged In Colors
Just like some can’t get enough of floral stamps & dies, I can’t get enough of trees, butterflies and birds. So many of my cards reflect those types of images and the Paper Pumpkin Delicate Wings was for me. These next cards show off the 2024-2026 In Colors and Lori’s Favorite In Colors. You’ll need to read my Happy Birthday, Queen Bee post to understand and see more about these colors. In fact many of the products I used in that post, I also used here.
If you’re wondering how Lori’s favorite In Colors came to be, it was while making the card with the butterflies and flowers. That’s how my favorite In Color combination started! The flower actually comes from the Hooray For Surprises stamp set, and the leaf comes from the Layering Leaves stamp set. But I think they work perfectly with the butterfly stamps found in the Delicate Wings Paper Pumpkin kit.
Two More Delicate Wings Inspired Cards
At the time I ordered my Thanks & Beyond Dies, I was able to preorder some products from the new 2024 annual catalog. Naturally, they all arrived together. So I was trying everything out with my kit. My Pretty In Pink card is an easy layout and was created with butterflies you are able to still order, because I wanted to give you an easy alternative option without having the die set. The pink sequins in the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins pack match perfectly to the pink DSP. Too bad they retired. But the a good replacement may be the 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems.
The Shy Shamrock card is also a very easy layout. I couldn’t resist die cutting some white butterflies. Also, I wanted one more chance to show off the Loose Daisy embellishments before they retired. I used a few now retired products here, but remember that I did create these cards in April. In all reality, I will continue to use what I have. Be assured I do not throw these items and I usually find a way to use it up.

July Paper Pumpkin Kit Is Next!
Because the subscription time is past for the June kit, I’m going to tell you a bit about the July Painted Petals Kit. I bet you can guess what the focus will be! I’ll give you a sneak peek at the box. Isn’t it pretty?! This kit contains all you need to make 9 cards of 3 designs each and a Gray Granite ink spot.
First time subscribers also receive one acrylic block in the box. But remember to hang on to this because you will use it over and over again with each subsequent kit you order.
July also begins a new quarter for Paper Pumpkin add-on dies. The Every Celebration Dies can be purchased now, as long as your subscription is active and while supplies last. I can also let you know that the flower die will cut out a stamp image from the kit. And you get a hint of what may be the theme of the August and September kits.
Until next time, enjoy craft time! And thank you for your visit!
