I looked forward to receiving the January Paper Pumpkin kit, so I could see the papers inside and use it with my Painted Lavender bundle. In case you’re wondering, you can find this bundle in the January – April 2024 Mini Catalog. And as a result, I was able to create a bunch of Lovely Painted Lavender Valentines. Keep reading to see a few of them. I say, “a few of them,” because it seemed I could create and create with this kit and the coordinating stamp & die bundle.
Lovely Lavender Greetings
Every Paper Pumpkin kit has suggestions on the back of the instruction sheet to make other alternate projects using some of the kit and other Stampin’ Up! products. I love the challenge and this allows me to make other cards, sometimes for different occasions, aside from the kit. And the three you see above are examples.
This next picture shares a couple more alternate cards. I’m so glad to be able to embellish these cards with the Paper Butterfly Accents and Purple Fine Shimmer Gems. It also helped to use the Modern Oval Punch, Painted Posies 3D embossing folder, and some Pecan Pie ribbon.
Lovely Lavender Mixed Up Parts & Pieces
Mixing up the parts and pieces inside the kit is another way I like to create different looking greetings, but still using what’s inside the kit! Oh, and yes, I cut a card bases in half, from the kit, to make the two card fronts for these Valentines.
CASEing Painted Lavender Cards
I’ve only just begun to play around with my Painted Lavender bundle, as I waited for my Lovely Lavender kit to arrive, so I can combine using the two. So far, I created two cards. One of my favorite things to do is Copy And Share Everything (CASE) from examples in the catalog. After all, it’s the examples I see in the catalog that attract me to buying the products in the first place! These cards are not Valentines, though. These will probably end up as birthday greetings.

After Lovely Painted Lavender Valentines
What’s coming after the Lovely Lavender kit? The Sweet Springtime kit is available to subscribe to until February 10th! My understanding is that this kit will be full of variety. Celebrate Easter and Spring with adorable cards with coordinating envelopes & treat/gift boxes! I’m curious if the contents will be suitable to create baby cards with? Expect coordinating colors of Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Berry Burst, Early Espresso (Stampin’ Spot), Crumb Cake to be inside. And don’t put your Love of Spring dies away yet, because the daffodil flower, especially, can be used with this kit.
In the meantime, before my February kit arrives, I’ll be CASEing more of those Painted Lavender card examples found in the January – April Mini Catalog. Happy Crafting!
