Between the holidays and illness, I finally got a chance to create by enjoying All the Best, with the December 2023 Paper Pumpkin kit. So, keep reading to see my alternate ideas. But no masculine cards this time, since this kit had a dandelion flower theme.
Simply Enjoying All the Best
These card bases were easy to cut and divide the parts because the card bases had printed designs on the the back as well. In addition, the card cutouts were also very easy to mix around to use with different card bases. Below is an example of how simple it is to cut one card base in half and use the extra cutouts inside the kit. This one card base just made two cards!
Next is another half of card base, adhered to a basic white cardstock base. There were gold embossed dandelion card pieces in the kit this time, and you can see how I cut one in half also. One half I mounted to some Balmy Blue cardstock before adhering to the card front. The other half I created a bookmark with. I love simple!
Enjoy Beautiful Dandelion Envelopes
In addition to enjoying all the best, every kit includes coordinating envelopes, when the focus is greeting cards. And the next card was made by cutting the flower from the front of the envelope. It also shows that I used another part of a card base to create a beautiful “hello.”
All the Best Coordinating Products
After you use up the kit pieces, you always have a stamp set and ink spot left to create more projects with. The gold accented papers inside the kit, inspired me to dig out my Naturally Gilded DSP and Simply Elegant Trim. And you’ve probably already noticed I got out my Balmy Blue ink pad, too. The Naturally Gilded DSP is only available online, and I’m just beginning to use it some of my projects. I challenge you to look for other examples of how this paper is used inside the annual catalog!
In addition, I enjoyed masking some of the greetings before stamping, to add or take away parts of the sentiments, and customize my own greetings. You’ll see some more of this technique in the next cards, too.
Paper Pumpkin Note Cards
As you know, I enjoy experimenting with note card creations that use the Paper Pumpkin kit pieces. As a result, each of the note card styles Stampin’ Up! offers, works perfectly with three designs found in the Naturally Gilded DSP, too!
A Little More of All the Best
And finally, this last photo displays some examples of cards that require other Stampin’ Up! products. I die cut some pieces of the blue card by using the Deckled Rectangles dies. The Loose Daisy Embellishments coordinate nicely for the Pebbled Path shaker card. And the Dragonflies punch help bring good luck wishes to the Copper Clay card. I believe the metallic paper I used is not available any more, but you could get the same affect with Copper Clay cardstock. If you look closely, at the dragonflies, you might see that I used the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder to add interest to them.
