From the North Pole

As promised, the sequel to Santa Claus and JOY arrived from the North Pole! This Paper Pumpkin kit makes gift tags, but what happens after you’ve made them all? Well, you can keep using the stamps and ink spot. Also, add what you already have to create some more Christmas cards.

From the North Pole cards

Straight from the North Pole

I thought the word fonts in both the Hohoho and From the North Pole kits were wonderful! As a result they reminded me of a stamp set in the 2022 July to December Mini Catalog. Find it on page 26. The cards pictured there were the inspiration for these three cards. I made the Open Me card first.

Open Me card

The red paper comes from an envelope in the Hohoho kit, and I used more of it to make the gift card/money holder on the inside.

Add a gift card or money inside the pocket!

Christmas Joy

I cut up another envelope from the Hohoho kit to make this next card. The inspiration cards from the mini catalog, once again, gave me this idea. At first, it didn’t occur to me and this card looks absolutely wonderful without embellishment. But because the inspiration cards had a jingle theme, I decided to add a little jingle embellishment here!

Christmas JOY

Then, add a little simple stamping inside. Viola! Another card to be able to mail!

Candy Canes

Stampin’ Up! makes stamps they call reversible. They are created in photopolymer material and designed to be able to use both sides. As a result, this is how my next idea came to be. Many of you may know the story of how the candy cane came to be. Although the candy cane stamp in this kit is not a reversible stamp, if you mount the cane on your acrylic block “backwards,” you can stamp a “j”. I added the dove and flourish images from the Hope & Prayer set, then used the sentiment from the Hope & Peace set to imply a “Peace, Joy, Love” message.

God’s Blessings to You

Inside you can see more of the envelope I cut for the Open Me card.

Have a joyous Christmas!
