Take A Bough Punch

Take a Bough Punch and create some greeting cards! So, keep reading and see a few examples of the pretty leaves and flowers it makes. It’s a must have!

Bough Punch Art

If you like punch art, then you need a Bough Punch. Add some punched boughs to this simple layout. Here I used a scrap piece of Happy Forest Friends DSP, adhered it to a Mossy Meadow card base, and anchored it with a strip of Calypso Coral cardstock. Then, I tucked some boughs behind a pretty piece of ribbon and sentiment stamped from Inspired Thoughts set, and punched out with the Rectangle Stamp punch.

Bough Punch Debut

The next two cards I CASE’d the layouts from the January – June 2022 Mini Catalog. The Bough punch made its debut here. I changed the colors, and combined the boughs with the Lovely You stamps. As you can see, one of the cards is using the Rectangle Stamp punch, again. But this time the leaves and flowers are not behind the rectangle shapes!

2021 – 2023 in Colors

If you need a spray of leaves, don’t be afraid to cut the leaves apart and then rearrange the pieces in a way that pleases you. As a result, you can create many different looks of foliage.

Cut the leaves to make a bough spray!

Create A Wreath

Punch out a bunch of boughs and flowers and then arrange them in a circle to create a wreath! I was just trying this idea out with some retired DSP and Painted Poppies ephemera pieces. And, in so doing, I found it’s a great way to use up some more DSP. Then, try fussy cutting the sentiment that comes from the Biggest Wish stamp set to give it a little extra.
