Create a Hello There Bookmark
Follow these steps:
- Cut a strip of Basic White cardstock to measure 2- 1/8″ x 5- 1/2″ with the paper trimmer.
- Stamp “Hello There” at the bottom of one side, using the black Memento ink.
- Turn the bookmark over and select the “blotch” patterned stamp. Stamp the blotch five different times, with all five colors, top to bottom, using each new 2022-2024 In Color: Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis, and Starry Sky
- Let the ink dry, before dry embossing with Fern 3D embossing folder.
- Next cut a square piece of Crushed Curry cardstock to measure 1- 3/4″ x 1- 3/4.”
- Select the sheet of DSP with the design shown, above, 16 teapots, because it’s easy to cut them apart. Now, cut a 1- 1/2″ strip from one side of the teapot DSP, so that your strip has 4 teapots. Then, cut 1- 1/2″ from either end of the strip to make one square that has one teapot. Look at the picture below, for reference.
- Glue the DSP teapot square to the Crushed Curry paper square with liquid glue, then glue, in a diamond orientation, to the front of the embossed bookmark strip.
- Cut a piece of Linen Thread and tie a small bow, then adhere it to the top of the bookmark, with a mini glue dot.
- Enjoy marking your favorite pages of the new catalog using your Hello There bookmark!!
Hello There, How Many?
So, I made 16 bookmarks from one sheet of the Tea Boutique DSP. Of course, you do not have to use the entire sheet, if you make this project. But, if you need to make more than 16 bookmarks, each pack of DSP has 4 sheets of this particular design, which means you could potentially make up to 64 bookmarks per pack!
Because it’s nice to be able to see some of the new products and get a taste for what the new set of In Colors really looks like, this year, each of my customers received a bookmark, along with a WishList, when they got their new catalog. Click the button to find out what’s on my wishlist!
So, let me know if you make a Hello There bookmark with the Tea Boutique DSP. I’m curious to know if the song, “I’m a Little Teapot” goes through your mind when you work with this paper. I’m enjoying making cards with this DSP. And as a result, I created a number of cards already.
Thanks for your stopping by, stop again, and have fun stamping!
