Celebrating In Colors

May’s Paper Pumpkin kit was called Celebrating In Colors. All five of the 2022 – 2024 In Colors made their appearance in this box. I think this was the first kit that I didn’t assemble at least one set of cards as the instructions directed. Also, I shared the kit with my mom and she created her half like I did. Let me show you what we did. We used gold adhesive-backed sequins in place of the colored matte dots. Don’t worry, we’ll use the matte dots for another project. And as always, I created some alternative cards using my envelopes, and a few extra pieces from the kit.

Celebrating In Color Alternate Cards

The envelopes in this kit just begged to be cut up and used for something besides holding a card in the mail. As a result, it’s no surprise that we cut envelopes from the kit from time to time. Following the kit’s color scheme, I glued the envelope papers to white cardstock AFTER I did some simple stamping. Stamping the Amazing Silhouettes was the perfect compliment to the stamps in the kit. I stamped all the cards with Basic Gray ink, then added gold adhesive-backed sequins leftover from a past kit.

This next card also uses an extra label from the kit.

Garden – Tahitian Tide

The butterfly card holds a message tag in the front pocket.

The next two cards use up some extra cutout pieces and a black Stampin’ Write marker. You can see, I need to keep practicing my calligraphy skills.

Orchid Oasis and Sweet Sorbet

One Last Alternate Card

While I was cleaning my craft area, I came across three strips of paper stamped with the Spiral Dye stamp. I cased this card I made from the kit.

See my version of the card. None of the In Colors were used to make this card. The sequins were leftover from the January PP kit. You can find the string with the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. This background is easy to create with a Stamparatus.

The other four cards I created from the kit had some slight variations. I really love the gold accents with these new In Colors!

I had to use some retired ribbon, with gold threads, from last year’s catalog for one of the cards below.
