Crafting for the Birds

Let’s do some crafting for the birds! There are a lot of bird images offered in the Annual, and July-December Mini, Stampin’ Up! catalogs. So, here are some card creations featuring these fine feathered friends that I’ve had the privilege to stamp with.

Crafting for the Birds

Birds in DSP

First, I want to share some DSP (designer series paper) which has some very cute birds in the designs, an owl and songbird. But I also love that this paper makes it very easy to make some quick cards. Just add a sentiment and embellishments, if you wish.

Bonus Birds

Next, are the bonus birds? Yes, I consider these stamp sets in which the main theme is not a bird. Nevertheless, some of these stamp sets include a bird. Even though the stamp set themes are not directly “crafting for the birds” they can create cute bird cards.

Additionally, the next cards include a pelican, songbird and dove.

Hope & Prayer

Likewise, the Hope & Prayer dove showed up on one of my Christmas cards. This is certainly a versatile bird! Click HERE to see.

Crafting for the Bird Themes

As I was crafting one day, I realized I had quite a few bird related stamp sets from the annual and mini catalogs. Allow me to share.

As a matter of fact, the Garden Birdhouse stamp set does have three bird images, but I didn’t use them in this card. I only featured the houses. Ha!

You can create this perched little bird with the two-step stamps, or not, and just color the bird however you choose.

But the same token, click HERE to see a gift bag project using the Perched In A Tree Bundle bundle.

At last, my Heron Habitat bundle arrived, and here is the first card I created. Most of the water birds have migrated from our area and I wanted to create a card reflecting the change of seasons.

However, if you’d like to see some other bird stamps that might suit you better, there are more available.

Well, enough fowl language for today. Happy Stamping!

    1. Thank you! I realized there are even more stamp sets that include birds, in the annual catalog, then I highlighted. Have fun looking through it!
