Lovely You Bundle and Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder

The Lovely You Bundle and the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder, in the new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 catalog, are the first items I’ve had the opportunity to create with since it’s release on June 3rd. The Lovely You stamp set contains 7 flower and leaf images along with 11 words and phrases, to make quick and easy  greeting cards. The Lovely Labels Pick A Punch can create 6 different style banners with 3 different widths of paper. The Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder gives your paper that added touch of interest, a very subtle texture that won’t overpower your focal point. I’ve also been enjoying the 2020 – 2022 In Colors cardstock and Designer Series Paper (DSP). For our Tuesday stamp club, I made some examples to share using the new items.

My inspiration, for the first two cards here, has come from the catalog’s front and back covers. I didn’t even have to open the catalog and I was seeing new creation possibilities! After all, it’s the catalog examples that attracts me to want to use the products. I’ve put my own twist on them because some new products are still on my wishlist, waiting to be purchased. (Smile) I use what I have.

I made the Wildly Grateful card, by stamping the flower and leaf images with Daffodil Delight and Soft Seafoam inks onto white cardstock. When it came to stamping the sentiment, I goofed -go figure, so I stepped the catalog example up a notch. I needed to bring out some punches that would cover my mistake, so I restamped the sentiment, punched it out with the Label Me Fancy punch, and layered it on top of a piece of Soft Seafoam cardstock using the Everyday Label punch to accent the phrase. I bunched some linen thread behind the phrase, then popped it up with a few dimensional adhesives. I added a few sequins (retired). There, quick and easy, and perfect coverup!

The Just Because card was inspired by a card on the back cover of the new catalog. The flower and leaf images of the Lovely You stamp set can make the perfect one-of-a-kind backgrounds. Again, I used the ink combinations I have on hand. I mounted the stamped background on a piece of Pool Party cardstock. I stamped the sentiment, using Blackberry Bliss ink, onto a 1” white cardstock strip, then used the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch to trim the ends. I used the same punch to shape the 3/4” strip of Pool Party cardstock and layer behind the words. The card base is Blackberry Bliss, also. You maybe can’t see this well, but I dry embossed the card base with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I glued the Lovely You stamped background piece to the base, and tied two strands of linen thread around to make a bow. I used dimensional adhesives to attach the label sentiment. My fellow stampers in our Tuesday club really liked the texture this embossing folder makes!

Here are the 2020 – 2022 In Color cards we made in our stamp club this past Tuesday, using the Lovely Labels Bundle. It’s the first time we’ve met since the state of Wisconsin began to “open up.” We wore our masks, distanced, and used a lot of baby wipes to keep our stamping areas clean! We did simple stamping with Versamark and Memento Black inks, embellished using 2020 – 2022 In Color Enamel Dots, and some linen thread, white string, ribbons, etc. Very easy to put together. I love how the DSP can add so much to a simple project.
