Hello, again! Today, I want to share with you how versatile Angels of Peace stamps are. And I’ll also show you a fun-fold card that I CASE’d from the 2021-2022 Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog, page 110, and the 2021 July – December Mini Catalog, page 42. But this was just the starting point for me. When I CASE (copy-and-share-everything) an idea I don’t worry too much about having all the same supplies, because If I change up, it results in a unique one. As a result, I’ve found out that I have plenty of craft supplies in my stash that I can substitute. So I hope I can inspire you to experiment with the Angels of Peace stamps for yourself, then show the versatility of this set, too!
This fun-fold idea came from the Quiet Meadow bundle example that I shared at our August card club. The girls liked this fold just because it was something different and wanted to make it. So, I told them we’ll do it for our September club meeting but use a different stamp set. The color scheme for this card comes from the mini catalog example. So, now let’s see how I combine the two ideas using the Angels of Peace stamp set.
Angels of Peace Stamps
At first glance, it may look like these beautiful angels are just another Christmas stamp set. And how many Christmas stamps sets can one own? But I really love the flow of the angels’ wings and gowns, so I want to use them for more than just Christmas cards. Some of the sentiments in this set are perfect for encouraging and showing appreciation to others. Yet, I digress, so first let’s make the fun-fold, and then I can give you some ideas of the stamps versatility.
Gather Supplies
Now, keep in mind, the supply list includes the items I used. You can make substitutions as you need. But you are welcomed to select the item number to view and learn more about the products on this list.

- Brushed Metallic paper, item # 153524, or substitute your favorite sparkly paper

- Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, item # 149653

- Blends pens or watercolor pencils

Prepare the Pieces
Prepare these pieces for the front of the card, then set them aside until the card base is folded.
- Stamp the large angel on the Basic White cardstock piece, toward the top, using Crumb Cake ink. Then color with your Blends pens or watercolor pencils. I chose the Blends pens in the following colors – Lt. Petal Pink for face and hand, Lt. Pool Party for wings, Bronze for hair, and Lt. Flirty Flamingo for dress.
- Next stamp the “Peace on Earth . . .” sentiment with Merry Merlot ink, toward the bottom, underneath the angel. Then punch it out with the Label Me Fancy punch.
- Cut around the angel with a scissors.
- Punch the stars out of the metallic, or glitter, paper, then set aside.
- Now, emboss the Pool Party piece with the Merry Melody embossing folder and set this aside also. See photo below.
Score the Card Base for the Fun Fold
There may be other measurements to make a fold that is similar, but these are the score lines I chose and worked for me.
- Take the Very Vanilla piece of cardstock (card base) and score along one long side at 2″ and 3-1/8″, then rotate the paper and score from the other side at 2″ and 3-1/8″. By doing this, you should have two 2″ and two 1-1/8″ sections and one middle section that measures 2-1/4″, five scored areas in all. Refer to the photos to view score lines.
- Once the score lines are made, you can turn over the card base and stamp the star from Angels of Peace and the Merry Christmas greeting from For Unto Us stamp sets, using Merry Merlot ink.
- Emboss just the two 2″ ends of the card base using the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.
Finish the Angel of Peace Card
Now, it’s time to crease the folds and shape this card, like a U shape.
- Fold in a way to make the middle 2-1/4″ section project out, and the 2″ sides to recess back.
- Practice the layout with all the front card pieces to make sure they are to your liking, first, then attach all them to middle section. I used liquid glue to adhere everything except the largest star and Label Me Fancy punched greeting. For these, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the photo above, I wanted you see how this card folds along the score lines, but this card will stand up on its own. I love it! It’s just different than the regular card fold, but fits inside a regular envelope.
Versatile Angels of Peace
This set is more versatile than you think. Don’t limit yourself to using the angels of Peace stamps for Christmas, because you probably have other stamp sets to pair these angels with. I dug around my stash and found these stamp sets: Create with Friends, Garden Birdhouses, Path to Greatness, and Very Versailles.
