2024 Tuesday Fall Highlights

The time is long overdue to feature some handmade cards created by our TwelveTuesdays crew! Keep reading to see the 2024 Tuesday Fall highlights. You won’t be disappointed!

Thoughtful Birthday Expressions

I actually received this card at the end of summer. But let’s start off by featuring the birthday card Julie G. sent me, featuring the Thoughtful Expressions stamps. Since we were on a Hawaiian cruise at the end of August, this sweet hummingbird card was waiting for me when we returned from our trip! Julie also used the one of the “new” embossing folders from this year’s annual catalog, called Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder. I don’t know if she knows that blue is one of my favorite colors, but it doesn’t matter, she nailed it. I love it!

Changing Leaves Bundle Fall Highlight

With the change of the seasons came a September card we made using the Changing Leaves bundle. Julie M. brought this project for us to make at our Tuesday meeting. You’ll find this bundle as an online exclusive product.

Hugs & Hot Cocoa Fall Highlights

Next, Mary brought all the supplies to create two cards in September. The first one we created with the Hearts & Hugs bundle. I love the cute and loving animal images, AND the dies cut many little hearts, along with framelits, a banner, and flowers. So cute! We cut the partial circles from the card front using the Spotlight on Nature dies. If I remember correctly, I stamped the sentiment we were supposed to use on the front, on the inside of my card. So, when I got home I had to dig my bundle out and do some adjusting. As a result, my card may look a bit different than Mary intended. And believe it or not, we’ve all done this at one time or another, but we can laugh and joke about it. This is part of the fun when we stamp together!

The second card we created with a very popular bundle found in the Fall Mini Catalog, called More Than Autumn. We also used some of my favorite Designer Series Paper (DSP), A Little Latte. I love the colors of the plaid pattern. This card is a fun-fold, too, called triangle fold. Fun, fun fun!

More Fall Creations in October

The Caring Leaves stamp set is another popular item found in the on-line Last Chance list. And Mary shared this card with our Twelve Tuesday group in October. She picked the ink colors Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler to stamp the leaves onto Very Vanilla cardstock by using the double time stamping technique. We matted the leaves images with basic black cardstock, then mounted the pieces to a Cherry Cobbler card base. The simplicity is beautiful!

Jenny and I were having fun with the pumpkin image in the Choose Happy stamp set. We created Jenny’s card at stamp club. The main colors of the card are Copper Clay and Early Espresso, inks and cardstock. The main piece of Copper Clay cardstock is embossed using the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. The smaller piece of Copper Clay was given interest using a blending brush and a mask that retired. We stamped the pumpkins onto Very Vanilla cardstock and colored them with Watercolor Pencils Assortment I and blender pens. There’s also a strip of Copper Clay ribbon and some adhesive dots to embellish. Jenny had available a retired halloween sentiment and I couldn’t resist. Definitely, it’s an old but a goody!

Choose Happy Fall Greetings

As I stated earlier, I too had fun with that same pumpkin from the Choose Happy stamp set. The sentiment “Boo” just seemed to fit the cards I displayed for examples in October. The colors for the Halloween card I created, using the Perennial Lavender DSP on Highland Heather cardstock, were inspired some fabric on a bag my mom sewed for me. I added some Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots and Checked ribbon to embellish.

Because I featured the Humble Home bundle that same night, I couldn’t resist making a nighttime Halloween card, too. I dug out my Frosted Forest bundle and used the dies to cut trees from Country Woods DSP. I stamped a Smoky Slate moon with the image from Under the Moon stamp set, and stamped a jack-o’-lantern with Pumpkin Pie ink. After stamping the moon, I punched it with the 2-3/8″ circle punch and punched the house from a scrap of Basic Black cardstock. I stamped “Boo” using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to coordinate with the house. Then, I adhered all the pieces to a Night of Navy card base.

“Boo” to You!

I have one more card to share with you today. Jenny sent this happy mail to me after we met for our October meeting. It makes me smile every time I look at it. From a Bird’s Eye View, “BOO,” to you! Thank you, Jenny!!

Obviously, Jenny enjoys creating Halloween cards as much I do. I just don’t always pay enough attention to time in order to get them mailed so someone can receive them before the day!

Enjoy these 2024 Twelve Tuesday Fall Highlights, and CASE what you like. After all, these ladies’ 2024 Tuesday Fall highlights inspire me.

Happy Fall, y’all!
