May’s Paper Pumpkin kit, The Best There Is, was definitely the kit I needed! The focus this time included woodsy-type elements and colors. These lent themselves easily toward masculine cards. As always, I create a set of cards following the instructions, found inside the kit. There is one in particular especially for Father’s Day.
Alternate Versions
Since I only need one Father’s Day card, for my husband, I only used that sentiment once. What I really found myself needing were get well cards for men. So, I dug around my stamp set stash and found sentiments that I could use with the labels inside The Best There Is kit. Here’s what I found!
The Quiet Reflection stamp set is now an online exclusive. It premiered in the 2024 Spring Mini Catalog and I immediately recognized the sentiments offered encouragement and sympathy. Bible verses are always a bonus, as far as I am concerned! I actually made one card for get well and one for sympathy, using this style.
The other stamp set I found is Unbounded Love, and one I go to often. It’s new to us in the annual catalog this year. It seems there is a sentiment that can be used for just about every occasion, including get well. As a result, I rotated this card to be a landscape orientation, because of the sentiment.
For the last two cards, I also used the Unbounded Love stamp set, and created more get well cards. But notice that I only inked up a portion of the smaller sentiment to fit the label from the kit.
The Best There Is Label Die
Thanks and Beyond Dies are an exclusive add-on product to coordinate with the April, May, and June Paper Pumpkin kits. And as part of this collection, you’ll discover a die to cut your own hexagon labels. Many of us know that once all the pieces from our kits are used up, we have an ink spot and stamps left to use over again with other projects. What’s also nice is that this kit coordinates with some Designer Series Paper (DSP), Country Woods, available for purchase right now! All I added to make this card was an Ivory note card & envelope (retired) and my own inks. I even used one of the extra labels from the kit. (You always receive an extra set of labels in each Paper Pumpkin kit, in case, you don’t like the result of what you stamped the first time. Smile!) And just to bling up this card, I adhered Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins. They come with a Pumpkin Pie color to match my ink. How perfect is that!
