Think sunshine! Today I’m sharing some ideas for you to spread Good Feelings, by sending sunshine your way.
Sending Simple Sunshine Your Way
Ever since I first saw page 33 of the 2023-2024 annual catalog, I’ve been wanting to CASE (copy and share everything) those Tahitian Tide cards! The first card I made is an A2 sized card, mostly because I was lazy and didn’t want to trim the cardstock down. It looks like the card example, I CASE’d, might be an almost square shape. As a result, I needed to add more Loose Daisy Embellishments and a small bow using the 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine Pack to fill in the extra space of the card front. If you are wondering what color of ink I used, it’s Flirty Flamingo.
Sunshine My Way
For the second card I created, I used the Sweet Citrus stamp set, along with the coordinating dies found with the Sweet Citrus Hybrid Embossing Folder. I do not own the Paper Florist Dies, so I improvised with what I had. Instead of using a blending brush or sponge dauber technique to color the flowers, I stamped and colored with Stampin’ Blends. Besides the color Flirty Flamingo, I also used Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.
Sending Sunshine Your Way
Here is my “fancy” version of a card, inspired by the box example, from page 33. You may notice it doesn’t look too much like the box, but I decided to try out my new stamps and dies from the Lovely & Sweet Bundle and Notes of Nature dies. The Notes of Nature dies are part of the Notes of Nature Bundle. Hopefully, I will share more from these bundles in the future. I pulled some of the some colors from the catalog example, but not all of them, for this card – Flirty Flamingo, Fresh Freesia, Old Olive, and Parakeet Party.
After I assembled the card, I realized I forgot to add the string underneath the large sentiment piece. Luckily, I hadn’t added the Fresh Freesia “so happy” piece yet, and tied the string between the two sentiment pieces. I like how this worked out! And I’m loving the Nature’s Sweetness Suite!
More Good Feelings Coming Your Way
Before I leave you today, I have a couple of other examples where I used the Good Feelings stamp set. Some of the sentiments pair nicely with the Tailor Made dies and the 2-3/8″ Circle punch. And in case you’re wondering where those heart stamps come from, it’s the Love For You stamp set.
Our stamp club created this greeting shortly after the new color refresh happened last year. These were the first new colors I added to my collection – Lemon Lolly, Azure Afternoon, and Pecan Pie. We used a sponge dauber to apply ink to the Rays of Light background stamp, and then we used a blending brush to accent the center of the sun. And just to give the sun a little extra shine, we adhered one Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
Well, that’s all the sunshine I have for you, today. Enjoy your day!
