A Forever Forest of trees is what this Stampin’ Up! bundle is all about! And I say, “YAY!” Because this year’s annual catalog did not have as many stamp sets or bundles dedicated to the theme of trees, and I was missing that. As result, I kept hoping the mini catalog would. And it has lot of them!
Forest of Trees Dies
The Forever Forest Bundle made the top of my wishlist as soon as I saw it. Consequently, one of the first times I had a chance to use my Forever Forest bundle was with the October Paper Pumpkin kit, Home for the Holidays.
But, if you notice on close look, this bundle does not contain any sentiments. And because I also wanted to try out my new stamp set, More Wishes, I thought why not combine the two. And what a perfect combination they make! To create my first card, I gathered a few of the colors from the Brights cardstock collection for the trees and Crumb Cake for the hills. I embossed the card base front with the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder. And I use the Adhesive-Backed Glittered Sequins every opportunity I can get. Merry Christmas!
These two cards use the same layout but different color combinations. The Crumb Cake card, on the left, was inked with Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, and Azure Afternoon. I experimented with different inks for the Sweet Sorbet card on the right – Sweet Sorbet , Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, and Pebbled Path. Both cards are tied with the Sweet Sorbet twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine Pack. The trees are topped with either Rhinestone Basic Jewels or Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins. Which color combo you like?
Check out the next two cards! I added a fun background to the Crumb Cake card base with the Stitched With Whimsy dies. The snowflakes came from the Online Exclusives for the Cherry Cobbler card on the right.
CASEing the Catalog
That Yeti pops up anywhere! I got the idea for this card from page 11 in the mini catalog. I realize the Yeti stamp set and dies are officially no longer available on the Clearance Rack. But explore the link to see what’s still there at sales prices!
Forever Forest Sympathy Card
I wanted to demonstrate different ideas to use the forest bundle for. So, we made a sympathy card when we met for our December stamp club night. The front and inside sentiments come from the Hope You Know stamp set, stamped with Mossy Meadow ink. The card base is Wild Wheat and the tree is stamped on Boho Blue. We used Smoky Slate and Pebbled Path inks to stamp the moon, stars and rocks. The DSP strip comes from the One Horse Open Sleigh. And instead of white cardstock, I used Very Vanilla to offset the front image.
I wanted to show how this bundle can be used because we will see it offered again in a catalog this year. It’s on the carryover list! So watch for it, a forever forest of trees.
Now, it’s time to wish you all a Happy New Year and Happy Stamping, everyone!
