Ten Years of Growth

This March celebrated ten years of growth since Paper Pumpkin’s existence. And, to celebrate this milestone anniversary, we received an extra stamp set in our kit! I loved the stamps and colors of all the pieces inside the box, but I especially thought the envelopes had such pretty flaps. So today, I’m sharing a couple of ideas for repurposing two envelopes and an Easter card that I created from the extra stamp set.

Happy Easter!

Because I made all the cards in this kit, just like the instruction sheet suggested, I have no alternate ideas to share. Instead, I decided to try out an idea I had for using the bonus stamp set. The flowers and “Easter” stamps inspired me to create a card for the holiday. The “happy” stamp also reminded me of a stamp in the Biggest Wish set. So, here is my card idea!

Happy, happy Easter!

The smaller “happy” stamp came from the Paper Pumpkin kit and the larger “happy” stamp came from the Biggest Wish set. I love how they compliment each other. In order to not overwhelm the words on this card, I needed to trim one of the flowers off of the stamped image. But it works.

Years of Growth

As I mentioned before, I thought the envelope flaps were so pretty. And I also wanted to play around with the “dots” stamp image. So let me back up, the greetings I made for these gifts bags were actually created by cutting two envelopes. I strategically cut the flaps off both of the envelopes. Next, I stamped the dots on the white portion that remained, and glued the flap to the back of the envelope. Then, I cut the sides of the envelope so it opens like a card. That’s correct, both cards are made utilizing most of the two envelopes I cut open.

Years of Growth gift bags

Because envelope paper isn’t as thick as cardstock, the paper needs extra support. The “another year of growth” card is mounted to a cardstock base. “You deserve the best” card was created by cutting the envelope and then folding and reattaching envelope pieces on top of each other to create thickness. Each cards opens by lifting the colorful flaps. See how I used the dots?

The gold tissue paper, that came from inside the kit, helps to hide the gift inside the bag! And string, wrapped around the bag, helps hold the greeting to the bag.
