Have A Speedy Recovery

We’re in that time of year. And we all know someone who needs a get well wish to have a speedy recovery, or that you’ll be there when they need you. I like to make simple cards to wish someone well and used the Speedy Recovery stamp set to help me create some.

Speedy Recovery Clean & Simple Stamping

The flower bouquet image is the simplest stamp in the set to work with. Even for those of you who don’t like to color, it doesn’t take much to color these flowers. As a result, it’s a breeze with Stampin’ Blends or Watercolor Pencils. I added a narrow strip of Perfectly Penciled DSP between the image and the card base so it creates interest.

Clean and Simple

Step It Up A Bit

Step up the stamped images by adding a little more DSP and a string bow. The Speedy Recovery stamp set coordinates perfectly with the Tea Boutique DSP and 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine Pack!

The most difficult part about using these stamps is that they tend to pick up a lot of ink, because of their design. When this happens, you must adjust your ink pad. The drier the ink pad, the better these stamps perform. And because of this, it’s best to practice on scrap paper, first, and adjust your ink pad accordingly. Then you can get the desired look of your image.

Helpful Twelve Tuesdays Tip: Make sure the ink pad you use is not overly saturated with ink. Remove excess ink from the pad by blotting with a paper towel, or pressing the ink into the pad with a spoon to obtain a drier surface.

Step It Up Some More

Take your design a step further, and enhance stamped images with punched or die cut elements. I believe I’ve mentioned before how many Stampin’ Up! products coordinate with each other, even if that wasn’t the original intent. So, I love that about these products!
