Sending You Good Thoughts

What a fun Paper Pumpkin kit for July 2022 was! Not only did I get to share the kit with my mom, but I got to share it with my friend, too! We visited for entire afternoon and crafted a little. Haha! By that, I mean, we stamped and assembled the kit cards in no time at all. I was glad she was able to meet with me on my day off from work because it was fun. As a result, I used the ship in the bottle card for a cousin who was retiring from the Navy that same weekend! I also added a gift card inside by making a customized envelope using the Mini Pocket Envelope dies. The card and gift card envelope was perfect for the occasion! Allow me to show that sending you good thoughts can be easy.

Sending Good Thoughts Stamps

My friend is new to our monthly Tuesday stamp club, but finding a new hobby. We are thrilled to have her! She’s been able to see how we use the Stampin’ Up! products and this July Paper Pumpkin kit. When the kit pieces are all spent, we still have the stamp set and ink spot left to use any time we want. Here’s a card I made before we met that afternoon, just to show her how other products can be incorporated.

With the addition of a few ink colors, Vintage Bottle punch, and A Fish & A Wish stamp set, you can create a nice card. The insert/instruction sheet that comes with kit can help you pick a color combination to get you started. So, don’t throw that sheet! It can help inspire other ideas for you! I must show you the inside of the card, too.

Stamp the inside!

Other Ideas for Good Thoughts

So let’s dial the fancy card back, and make something simpler. This card is a one layer card. I used the paper from the kit that was leftover after removing the cutout bottle pieces as a stencil. And with a sponge dauber and the help of some sticky notes (to mask off), I sponged the small bottle shape in the center of white cardstock. Then, I used the inks to stamp sand, seaweed, seahorse, message, and sentiment.

Now, stamp a card that is even simpler. It’s not a one layer card, but you could use up the extra label, linen thread and dimensionals that would be leftover from the kit. (All white pieces of cardstock measure 5″ x 3-3/4″, and the colored card bases are a half sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock, then folded in half. Glue the stamped pieces to the card base with your favorite adhesive).

Supplements to Sending Good Thoughts

Supplement your Paper Pumpkin kits, so you can use your stamp sets longer. Select the item number to view and learn more about these products. I suggest these items to consider if you want to create the cards I’ve shared. But you don’t need it all at once when starting a new hobby. Keep it simple at first!

Also, don’t forget to check the ink refills in my online store. They’re a great way to keep using your ink spots economically. Since my friend has some different cardstock already, I didn’t put that on this list. You might find yourself in the same situation. But, feel free to look at the cardstock available through Stampin’ Up! If you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can also order a refill kit for Sending Good Thoughts.
