What a fun Paper Pumpkin kit for December 2021 we had! I was so “egg-cited” to use the stamps and extra cutout pieces to make some alternative “lots of pun” fun cards. Each of the cards was created with a specific recipient in mind.
“Egg-cellent” Pun Fun
My husband can remember and retell jokes like no one else I know. As a result, those that know him will often ask him to tell a joke and he always obliges them. So, it wasn’t hard to create this card for him. I plan to tuck it into his lunchbox some day, just because . . . and to wish him an “egg-cellent” day.
Fun Envelopes
It’s not unusual to get some beautiful envelopes in the kit. And these next cards feature one of each of the three envelopes used as designer paper. The cherries and loaves cards will be Valentine’s Day cards for my granddaughter and my husband. And we’ll “go bananas” when we celebrate my grandson’s birthday. Yes, the grandkids love a good “yolk” too! I wonder where they get that from?
Even the inside sentiment uses a part of one envelope.
Lots of Pun Paper Pieces
Don’t be afraid to use some of the paper you would normally throw away, to stamp on. I fussy cut the conversation bubbles and party hat, then glued them to the loaves and banana cards, above.
I also trimmed the paper strips that were leftover from between the labels. Normally, I would throw this paper away, also. But I used them to give the idea of toaster elements. We have a daughter that will be graduating and receiving her PhD this Spring. She also loves to share “yolks” with us on our family text group. As a result, we want to “toast” her accomplishment and will be ‘”egg-cited” for her!
Bunches of Fun
The “Lots of Pun” kit reminded me of a stamp set in the annual catalog, Bunches of Fun. This stamp set had the perfect sentiment I needed for inside my grandson’s “go bananas” birthday card.
These last two cards were created with just the Bunches of Fun stamp set. My oldest daughter’s birthday is coming up and needs to know that it’s not so bad to have another birthday. Wink! And I never know when I need a get well card for someone, so it’s ready.

More Fun
Look forward to having more fun with the Paper Pumpkin kit coming in February, and create 9 cards of three designs. This kit includes a Rich Razzleberry stamp spot and the stamp set is an uplifting one! Make every occasion a celebration with sentiments that say “yay!”, “fantastic!”, and other fun phrases. Cheer on an accomplished friend with “you did it!”, prepare to party with “let’s celebrate!”, or uplift a loved one with a “you are so fantastic!” reminder. No matter the occasion, you can make it a celebration with this month’s stamp set! Hip Hip Hooray! The playful patterns of the cards and envelopes will be great for alternative projects. And the Artfully Composed Suite from the January–June 2022 Mini Catalog will coordinate with this kit, too!
I expect my January 2022 Kisses & Hugs kit will be arriving soon. So much Paper Pumpkin fun to look forward, too!
Thanks for visiting, and stay warm!!
