Stamp Treasures Found!

Hello! Today, I’m featuring two stamp sets from the January to June 2021 Mini Catalog, Treasured Medallion and Treasures of Life. These sets are very different from each other, but are stamp treasures found! Let me show you why.

Treasures of Life

Here’s one of the treasures that I found in this year’s mini catalog. The Treasure of Life stamp set spoke to my heart, because I am a grandparent! I think the images really capture the love a grandparent has for their grandchildren. Grandchildren truly are treasures! But, I don’t feel this set is just to make cards for grandparents. I created three cards that use different techniques and images from the set. As a result, they can be given for different occasions.

The card on the right is the simplest to make. It is a Petal Pink monochromatic color, and displays a simple stamping technique. For embellishment, I tied a string bow to the Heart Charm and used a glue dot to stick it to the front. I would give this card for multiple occasions: baby shower, Mother’s Day, new parents, or new grandparents.

To make the card on the left, with the grandfather, stamp the image and then colored with the watercolor pencils (no water used, though). Layer it on real red cardstock and then a gray card front. I intend to give this card to new grandparents or for Father’s Day.

The blue card, in the middle, was dry embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. The image was colored with alcohol markers and adhered with Stampin’ dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap strip of basic white cardstock, and punched the ends to make a banner. Next, I cut a strip of Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim and glued it behind the sentiment, and then adhered the sentiment to the card front. It could easily be made into a Valentine card, grandparent card, or a thinking of you card for any occasion.

Treasured Medallion

Let someone know how much you treasure them. Here’s another stamp treasure found that will help you do this. The Treasured Medallion set has images that remind me of designs, or structures, I could see in faraway lands. I was drawn to the examples in the catalog, and loved the idea of making the “archway” image into a label, so I made a couple of cards with this idea. Here are a couple of cards, each with very different colors. The archway labels were the only fussy cutting I had to do. Of course, the sentiments in this set are meant for celebration!

Simply stamp the pink Magenta Madness card and add a few rhinestones. Viola! I really like how fast this card was done!
