Gift of Hope Is Found in Easter

The Gift of Hope is found in Easter. The Easter greetings I like to give, help us look forward to a new season of Spring, and give us hope for our eternal future at the same time. Here is an Easter greeting that uses the Gift of Hope stamp set and Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. Spread eternal hope to those you love.

Gift of Hope Easter Card

Easter greeting front

This design was inspired by the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog example on page 22. I changed the color palette some and size of the Cinnamon Cider circle. There are no dies to coordinate with this stamp set, but the little church is very easy to fussy cut around.

Make the Gift of Hope Card

  1. Cut one 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Seaside Spray cardstock, then score at 4-1/4″ and fold.
  2. Cut one piece of Purple Posy cardstock to measure 4″ x 5-1/4″, and dry emboss it using the Painted Texture embossing folder.
  3. Stamp the flowers with Misty Moonlight ink, on a piece of white cardstock that measures 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″.
  4. Color the leaves and flowers with Stampin’ Blends: Light Calypso Coral, Dark Mint Macaron, and Light Highland Heather.
  5. Punch a Cinnamon Cider circle using the 1-1/2″ Circle punch and stamp the sentiment with Misty Moonlight ink.
  6. Ink the church image with Misty Moonlight ink and stamp on a piece of scrap white cardstock, then fussy cut around it.
  7. Stamp the inside sentiments of the card with Misty Moonlight ink.
  8. Assemble the Purple Posy and white card layers onto the card base, as shown above, with your favorite adhesive. Mine is the Multipurpose Liquid glue. Wink!
  9. Adhere the church to the circle, then add the two pieces to the middle of the flower wreath image with Stampin’ dimensionals.
  10. Embellish with a white string. Here I’m using kite string that was leftover from when my kids flew kites. You can also embellish in other ways. Use what you have!

Fun Fold Easter Card

Here’s a fun fold card I made to show in our stamp club Zoom meeting a couple of months ago. This fun fold card is not my idea, but I a saw it two years ago from another demonstrator who used this as a Paper Pumpkin alternate design. I kept the card I made then, so I could make other cards from that idea. This starts with a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base that is scored, on the long side, at every 2″. Then glue the remaining 1/4″ section to the first 2″ section to make the base. This card does not open in the traditional way, because when properly assembled, the shape looks like a square when viewed from the top. As a result, the front sentiment circle pops out from the front fold to give it interest. Contact me, if you’d like more directions to make this.

I like how the card becomes 3D when “open”, and to place the card in an envelope for mailing, simply press the card flat. Also, lay the card flat to write on the back.
