Greatest Of All Time (G.O.A.T.)

Who doesn’t love an animated animal character on their birthday card? I have two birthday cards for you, today, with the same layout, but one that features a Greatest Of All Time (G.O.A.T.) and the other a darling donkey. These cards are not for the faint of heart, or anyone sensitive about age, and are meant to be humorous. Ha! Ha!

You’re the G.O.A.T. (Greatest Of All Time)

The goats in the Way to Goat stamp set just tell it like is. That is at least for goats, and where birthdays are concerned!

This card is not very difficult to make. And the hardest part might be picking which flowers and leaves to die cut, because there are so many different flowers and leaves to choose from in the Pierced Blooms die set. So, just do what I did. Cut them all, and in the colors you want.

Assemble the Card Front

  1. Fold one Dandy Garden Memories & More card base on the score line.
  2. Cut a 3″ x 6″ piece of Cinnamon Cider DSP and adhere to card base, as shown above.
  3. Stamp the goat image, in Tuxedo Black ink, on a piece of scrap white cardstock, then color with blender markers (or colored pencils), and punch it out with the 2-1/4″ circle punch.
  4. Punch out a black circle, too, with the same punch. Offset the black circle behind the goat, to your liking, and adhere the two circles together. Set aside.
  5. Die cut flowers, leaves, bow, and label using the Pierced Blooms dies.
  6. Stamp “You’re the G.O.A.T. . . .” on the label, with black ink.
  7. Arrange goat, flowers, leaves, bow (if desired), and label within the Cinnamon Cider panel on your card. Move pieces around until you have an arrangement you like, first. Decide what parts to put Stampin’ Dimensionals on, then adhere and glue the parts down. (I choose to put dimensionals on the center flower and the label).

Stamp the Card Inside

Next, use Tuxedo Black ink and stamps, from the Approaching Perfection and Way to Goat stamp sets, to complete the inside of the card. It seems these two sets were meant to go together.

“Greatest Of All Time” Donkey

The little donkey has a sassy attitude, as most donkeys do, I think. And because of this, I wanted to try using a darling donkey, in place of the goat, for a card. This next card has the same layout, but instead uses the Darling Donkey stamp set in place of the Way to Goat set. Here’s how my card front and inside turned out.

As a result, Approaching Perfection and Darling Donkey stamp sets are really fun together, too!

Whether you use a G.O.A.T. or donkey for making this birthday card, you’re sure to make the recipient smile. But also make sure this person knows they are the “Greatest Of All Time!” After all, they probably are, if you handmade a card for them!
