The Sending Hearts January 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit was a great way to make cards for Valentine’s Day! But when the supplies from this kit are all used, we’re still left with a wonderful stamp set and ink spot. So, here are some of ideas that use the stamp set and ink spot. Because it’s not just for Valentine’s Day cards, only!
Sending Hearts Paper Pumpkin & Cheer
Let’s cheer up someone who’s feeling down. That was my intention, when making this card. And because the snail just asks for some fun, I found some google eyes to add, and bring on a smile. (Google eyes always make me smile). I also chose to stamp bright colors, then I could give this to anyone.
Sending Hearts & Love
Let someone know you’re thinking of them and send some encouraging love, the paper crafter’s way. (Note: This way is very low calorie, but you can always add more calories when giving this card, if you want!) To make this card, I stamped the heart image and cut around it, then stamped the XOXO image on scrap strips of white cardstock. After that, I arranged the pieces to my liking and adhered. Again, I chose mainly bright “crayon box” colors for the kisses and hugs, and used the new Double Oval Punch, that’s featured in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. The “Sending Love” sentiment fits perfectly in the large oval!
Sending Hearts & More
Step up your Paper Pumpkin stamp set with other sets and tools you have. For example, that little snail image is a perfect compliment to the snail images in the Snailed It stamp set. And don’t forget to bring out your various circle punches and dies, Blender markers, Dainty Diamonds embossing folder, and ribbons. Use a few sticker hearts, if you have some left over from the kit, or another embellishment, just to add an extra touch. Here’s the card I put together. It could be a new baby card or just a thinking of you card for a family member.
The inside sentiments for all three cards are from the Lovely You stamp set. As a result, by using this set, I was given more inspiration to keep using the Sending Hearts images. For instance, I was looking at the front of the annual catalog, and spied a couple more card layouts I’d like to try. So, I’d better go and get crafting these ideas while they are still on my mind! Contact me if you want to know how they turned out.
