I love sharing my Paper Pumpkin kit. Many times I share it with my mom, and this month is no exception. The October 2020 “Joy to the World” Paper Pumpkin Kit can make 8 full-sized Christmas cards. When my kit finally arrived, I divided it in half, which was enough supplies to make 4 cards, if we chose. I chose not to make the cards as the instructions suggested. So, I decided to use two card bases and envelopes as is, and cut up two card bases and envelopes. And so far, I’ve crafted seven cards with half a kit. Keep reading to see what I made!
Two Card Bases & Envelopes As Is
By dividing “my half” of the kit again, I was with left two card bases and envelopes intact. Here are the card alternatives below.
The Christmas greeting is made with only supplies from the kit. The “love” card uses some of the pieces from another cut card base and envelope, and it also has Wonderful Gems added for embellishment. I just couldn’t cover up those flowers!
Pieces from Two Card Bases & Envelopes
Here are five other alternative Christmas greetings, made from some of the pieces of the two card bases and two envelopes that I cut up. I created card bases from one 8 1/2 x 11″ sheet of Just Jade cardstock, a sheet of Cherry Cobbler, half a sheet of Crumb Cake, and half a sheet of Soft Seafoam cardstock. The three embossing folders gave the cards interest: Pinewood Planks, Evergreen Forest, and Tasteful Textile. Then, I added Square Vellum Doilies, leftover sequins from past Paper Pumpkin kits, and again, Wonderful Gems for embellishment. And after making these cards, I was amazed at what was still left to use . . . well, I’ll just share a picture.
And this means I can still do more crafting with my half of the kit. Yippee! I also can’t wait to see what my mother has created with her half of the kit!
