Four Hello Pumpkin Kit Alternatives

The September 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit, Hello Pumpkin, was designed for creativity! The alternative projects that can be made from this kit are endless. As I have mentioned in a previous post, my mother and I often share the kits. We made a few crackers the first time we worked with it. Keep reading to see four card alternatives that also use pieces of the Hello Pumpkin kit.

Hello Pumpkin kit Alternative No. One

Last weekend I brought my half of the kit along to her house, again. And while my husband mowed her lawn, I showed her some ideas that others were doing with the kit. We got busy with our kit, or I should say, she got busy, because I seemed to be at a road block. Yes, it happens sometimes, so I watched her cut apart a cracker base. She was making flower vases! Oh, cool! I had not seen any of these be made yet, so I copied her idea.

Hello Pumpkin kit Alternative No. Two

After making her flower vases, my mom was on to something else. “What are you making now?” I asked. “Candles,” she said. “Oh, of course, another great idea!” I said. I haven’t seen anyone else make candles from the kit contents, yet, either. Here is my version of my mom’s candle card. I think I will be making more of the vases and candles for Thanksgiving cards to send family this year. The inside of Thanksgiving cards uses the sentiment from the August 2019 kit, The Gift of Fall, “Grateful for family like you.”

Halloween Alternative No. Three

Honestly, I’ve been in a creative slump. When my job in the clinical laboratory is more demanding, I have less energy to come up with my own ideas for paper crafting. This next idea I copied from the back of the kit direction sheet. This is one of the suggested Hello Pumpkin kit alternatives from the insert – a shaker card. I was cleaning “my corner” and the plastic tray that some of the Stampin’ Up! sequins came in was perfect to recycle for this project. I used some In Good Taste Elements and paper pieces from the kit, then tear & tape adhesive for taping the paper to the plastic tray and adhering it to the card base. It’s my mom’s Halloween card. Shhhh, don’t tell her!

Last Alternative For You

This is another Halloween card. I’ve seen so many creative ideas from others that I also want to CASE. This is really a conglomeration of card ideas I have seen other demonstrators make with the Hello Pumpkin pieces.

  1. OH MY GOODNESS!
I came across your card on Pinterest (second picture in this post) and was awestruck! It is positively gorgeous! Your creativity is beyond mine! I love it! I haven’t worked on this paper pumpkin kit yet, but will certainly be casing this card when I do so. Don’t get me wrong, the other cards in this post are also wonderful! Thanks for sharing your creative ideas ❣️
