Create All Occasion Cards with Love & Hope

Combine the His Love and Dove of Hope stamp sets to create lovely all occasion cards. The Dove of Hope set is designed with a Christmas theme, but the branch and doves can be used all year long. When I saw these stamps, I thought about how nice they would look with the His Love stamp set. Let me show you!

Create an All Occasion Card with Love

  1. Cut a piece of Seaside Spray cardstock in half, 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2 “, then fold in half. (card base)
  2. Cut a piece of white cardstock to measure 4″ x 5 1/4″. (card front)
  3. Start stamping! Stamp all the images with black Memento ink onto the white card front.
  4. Select the flying dove and stamp the image in the upper left corner.
  5. Select the “His Love Never Fails” sentiment and stamp it just above the midpoint, on the right side.
  6. Next stamp the branch four times, as the example above shows.
  7. Then stamp the dove with the branch image to make it appear as if it’s landing on the branch in the lower right corner.
  8. Color the leaves and berries of the branches. I used blender pens, dark Granny Apple Green and dark Poppy Parade, but use what you have.
  9. Stamp the cross image onto a scrap piece of Seaside Spray cardstock and fussy cut, with scissors, around the image.
  10. Attach the card front the the base with your favorite adhesive. Mine is white liquid glue.
  11. Adhere the cross in the lower left corner of the card, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  12. And finally, give your cross some sparkle, with the Wink of Stella Glitter brush, then let dry.

If you like, cut another piece of white cardstock, same size as the card front, stamp a desired sentiment, and glue inside the card. I have not done this with my card yet, because it could be given for any occasion. It may be a birthday, encouragement, get well, thinking of you, or even an Easter card.

12 Tuesdays Tips: Prevent black ink from bleeding into colored areas.

  • Try not to color over stamped lines, because this will cause the lines to smear into your colored area.
  • When coloring with blender pens, it’s best to color inside lines that are stamped with water-based ink.
  • When coloring with watercolor pencils or Stampin’ Markers, it’s best to color inside lines that are stamped with a non-waterbased ink, like StazOn.

Keep It Quick and Simple

I love to be able to start a project and finish it in one sitting, and it feels good! By day, I am a full time Medical Technologist in a critical access hospital laboratory located along the upper Mississippi River. I drive 30 minutes one way to work, and wear multiple hats there. Besides heading the blood bank, I work in the microbiology department and in other areas of the lab. This is a demanding job, but it just seems a little more so lately and I won’t go into to details. We all know the times are strange now. So, when I get home, I unwind in “my corner” of our finished basement. “My corner” is filled with all my paper, stamps, inks, and anything else I could possibly need to create. I am blessed! It’s a true staycation spot for me! (Smile)

Here is another quick and simple card using His Love and Dove of Hope stamp sets.

Create an All Occasion Card with Hope

  1. Cut the Seaside Spray and white cardstock using the same measurements, as His Love Never Fails card.
  2. Stamp the words and cross directly onto the white card front with black Memento ink.
  3. Stamp the flying dove using Seaside Spray ink pad.
  4. Color the outlines of the cross with a blender pen of your choice. I used dark Balmy Blue, because it’s the blue color I had.
  5. Adhere the white card front to the card base with white liquid glue.
  6. If desired, add a few basic rhinestones to the cross, for extra sparkle.
  7. Again, I left the inside of this card undone, until I know the occasion I want to give it for.

I hope these ideas have inspired you to create all occasion cards with the His Love and Dove of Hope stamp sets. The cards you make don’t have to be “over the top.” Sometimes, simple is best!
